Whether you are a returning trainee or new to our college, I encourage you to approach the year with a growth mindset, prepared to push your boundaries.
To our esteemed staff, I wish to underscore the centrality of training. Our roles as trainers extend beyond the mere impartation of skills. We wield the power to inspire, motivate, and shape the minds of our trainees. Furthermore, I wish to highlight the importance of fostering a sense of familial belonging. We recognise that each trainee hails from a distinctive background, laden with its own challenges and responsibilities outside the classroom. It is imperative for us to acknowledge and respect these factors, as they significantly influence a trainee’s academic trajectory. By cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment, we can engender a sense of belonging and understanding that will enable our trainees to thrive.
To our trainees, I urge you to maintain open communication with your trainers and seek their guidance whenever necessary. We are here to support you, not only academically but also emotionally. Remember, your success is not solely contingent on your grades, but also on your personal growth and development. Take advantage of the resources at your disposal, engage in extracurricular activities, and forge connections with your peers across our ethnic divide. As the principal of Weru TVC, I leverage my professional expertise and experience to drive and inspire our trainees. I find great joy in aiding parents and trainees in navigating the intricate application (bursaries, KUCCPS, HELB loans, scholarships) process. It is imperative that all our trainees make progress in programmes that align with their interests and abilities and pave the way towards their desired career.
